Valecraft Homes Delivers Golfers’ Dreams At Stonebridge
The magic of living at Stonebridge continues to amaze Kathy and Mike Quinn who recently moved into their brand new Valecraft home. Kathy still marvels at how a chance trip to visit friends at Stonebridge turned into a life-changing purchase of a Valecraft home there.
The Quinns had been happily living in the country for a long time and started to think it might be time for a change. But life was good and the Quinns were quite content leading a very active life which included lots of golf. While both enjoy the game, Mike is a strong enthusiast and enjoys rounds at various golf courses throughout the region. When he discovered the community of Stonebridge, he described its beauty to Kathy. He didn’t actually imagine that one day they would live there.
“We knew we wanted to eventually move [closer] to the city,” said Kathy, “but it took me a while to convince my husband to actually leave our home in Embrun. We hadraised our family and were very happy there.
One day, Mike took me to visit some friends near Stonebridge and we instantly fell in love with it! What a really beautiful area! When you drive in ... it’s like you’re entering your own little village.
The next day we came back and looked at what all the different builders at Stonebridge offered. We found Valecraft’s homes to be around our price range and we were very impressed with the homes themselves. Valecraft Homes had a variety of models that were all beautiful. We really liked the quality and that they don’t all look the same. It creates very pretty streets.” The Quinns were so impressed by what they saw that they decided to buy from Valecraft. “The only thing we had to go on were the plans,” continued Kathy. “There was no picture, no model, nothing ... But we were so convinced by what we did see of Valecraft homes, we took our chances. We chose a special corner-lot design with a very friendly wrap-around porch which we just love! It’s a two-storey, very open concept home which usually has 4 bedrooms. We asked Valecraft to turn one bedroom into a loft. It was easy.”
Kathy and Mike have been so blown away by dealing with Valecraft that they convinced friends to also purchase a new Valecraft home in Stonebridge. For the past month, the two families have been living together in the Quinns’ new home. They have been watching the friendly Valecraft construction crew put the finishing touches on the house next door - the friends’ new home!
“We all love Stonebridge and are very impressed by Valecraft,” beamed Kathy. “I like all the Valecraft people, from the sales people to the trades people. They have been really really good to us while building our home and after. No matter what we ask, they help out.
They are very friendly and will make suggestions to help you decide on different items. Valecraft even [has a decorator to] help you choose your colours. I really enjoy them as builders!”
According to Kathy, it also seems that husband Mike thoroughly enjoys his new neighborhood. “He absolutely loves living at Stonebridge!” she said. “It’s quiet, friendly, peaceful here. You don’t get the droning of traffic from the city and you’re in a private neighborhood. Mike especially loves all the pathways and walking along the Jockvale River. But his biggest love? It’s the golf.
