- Heat recovery ventilation system (HRV) interconnected to furnace duct work
- All supply and return ductwork is sealed
|

Windows & Doors
|
|
|
- Low-e Argon for all ground floor and second floor windows and doors
|
|
|
Insulation
|
|
|
- R-50 Ceiling attic blown insulation
- R-32 Ceiling batt insulation for all cathedral or sloped ceilings
- R-22 Exterior wall batt Insulation
- R-20 Insulation for basement exterior frost walls (Insulation terminates 12" above concrete slab)
- R-32 Fiberglass batt insulation at all exposed floors
- Air leakage test using a blower door test to ensure the requirements of the ENERGY STARŪ program are met or exceeded

Electrical
|
|
|
- Minimum of 20 CFL (compact florescent light bulbs)
- Airtight electrical boxes in all exterior walls
- Airtight light outlets & pot lights in all exterior ceilings (where applicable)

|
Home Inspection
|
|
|
- Each ENERGY STARŪ home will be inspected and tested by a third party professional energy inspector. ENERGY STARŪ label will be affixed to the home as assurance that the home is compliant with the ENERGY STARŪ program.
